Bill Haley's Original Comets April 16 - December 12 Many bands call themselves the first or the oldest rock band in the world but, without any doubt, The Comets are the real McCoy. Before these guys hit the scene, there was nothing. Even the name Rock ‘n’ Roll got its name from their early hit song, “Rock a Beatin’ Boogie.” Bill Haley and his Comets were the first top rock band to use a then relatively unknown young support act by the name of Elvis Presley in 1955. They were the first rock band to be awarded a gold disc for over a million sales. Bill Haley and his Comets recorded the best selling rock record of all time, “Rock Around the Clock,” with over 200 million records sold. 55 years later, Bill Haley’s Comets are still rockin’. Original members Joey D’Ambrosio on sax and Dick Richards on drums keep Rock ‘n’ Roll alive.

Dinosaur Museum April 1 - December 31 As you enter the lobby of the 24,000 square foot complex you'll start feeling a sense of excitement. From throughout the building you can hear the screams and roars coming from visitors and exhibits. It's great fun! One side of the complex features the educational Dinosaur Museum, featuring over 50 life-sized dinosaurs as they appeared when they roamed the earth. The models were made by paleo-artists who fashioned molds from the original dinosaur skeletons and then created the bodies. The dinosaurs are displayed among fauna, from the very smallest creature - a 1-foot micro-raptor to the towering 42-foot tyrannosaurus rex that stands about two stories high. There is a learning center with video, a fossil exhibit, birthday party area, and gift shop as well.

Most people think California has had the worst earthquake, when actually Missouri holds the record. In 1812, an earthquake measuring more than 8.0 on the Richter Scale occurred at New Madrid, Missouri. This earthquake made the Mississippi River run backwards for three days and made church bells ring in Philadelphia! Trail of Lights November 1 - December 31 The Trail of Lights has become a treasured holiday tradition for thousands of visitors. Visitors drive-thru the 160 acre homestead in their own vehicles. Each unique scene is set to holiday music and Trail guests are invited to hop on a glass elevator at Inspiration Tower for a Santa's eye view of the lights from above. The exhibits in the museum cover WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, the Persian Gulf, and all other recent conflicts during the 20th Century. The center great hall of the museum contains the 50-statue sculpture and the wall surrounding it list over 400,000 names of the men and women killed in action during WWII. Throughout the museum the walls of each great hall contain the names of those killed in action during Korea, Vietnam, Desert Storm, and other conflicts of the 20th Century.
